The NUS Life Sciences Institute (LSI) is a world-class research and education hub in the life sciences.
NUS LSI currently overseas 10 research programmes with over 200 principal investigators. Since its inception in 2001, NUS LSI has grown rapidly in its stature and research. With a growing stable of principal investigators, research themes and seminars, users could not easily find the information they needed and website creation and maintenance efforts were consuming significant resources.
NUS LSI approached Conversion Hub to review, conceptualize and redevelop its entire website. They also needed a multi-authoring system that allows users of different levels to have different (and configurable) privileges with regards to publishing, editing and other options.
User-centred design methods were used to create and evaluate an intuitive, task-focused information architecture which was implemented using NUS LSI's chosen content management technology.
Right from the start, Conversion Hub worked closely with the researchers and IT staff to uncover the needs of each user-segment. The content management system enabled the administrator and respective content owners to manage their pages easily.
With the sheer amount of content being published, the NUS LSI website was ready made with options to display the archives of all events and pages.
The revamped website also has a functional built-in search tool, which allows visitors to search for terms they are interested in. Search terms are automatically highlighted, so it is even easier for them to find what they were searching
